It is actually Saturday and I did not have to go to work for now. Enjoy it while it last because my spidey sense is telling me that this will not last.
Currently the sun is shinning but I hear it will be raining again pretty soon. Oh no, and the lawn still needs to be mowed. I think we've had enough rain for now but there is still more on the way.
Last night was a busy one. Got home, ate dinner, went out to run some errands and then returned to finally do my daily workout. At first it's hard to get started but once those endorphins kick in it's a breeze. I had to do this before eight o'clock because it was the season premier of Monk and Psych. Since Dr Who comes out @ the same times as Monk I just opted to wait until the rebroadcast @ 10. So, it made for pretty good tv viewing. A good break from all the other crap on network tv. At least these shows are funny and kept me watching. Sarah Silverman was pretty funny on Monk. She played Monks "#1 fan". Talk about creepy in a funny way. Psych was as funny as always. They were spoofing american idol. It had a laugh or two or three or four. Anyways.....it was 10 by the time Dr Who came out and I think I fell asleep towards the end. This shouldn't reflect bad on the show which had the doctor and Martha going to 1599 and meeting Shakespeare. There were some witches involved but like I said I fell asleep towards the end. Hope I get to see it again. Or next time record it so I can watch it the next day when I am fully rested. It's been a long week and usually by Friday I am sooo tired. Plus, the exercising I do on top of that leaves me tired so I usually just pass out on the couch. Go figure. But now I am wide awake and ready to take on the world. Or whatever.
Just finished reading Life Support by Tess Gerritsen. I have to admit that I've had her books (2) for awhile but I've been putting off reading them. She's a former dr turned writer (of course) but I didn't think they'd be all that good. Well I just finished the first one and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Finished it in a couple of weeks and it was an easy read. Easy to follow and hard to put down. She writes medical thrillers and in my humble opinion this one was pretty good. I give it 3 stars. Would I recommend it to others? Sure, why not. It's chalk full of medical drama. If you like that sort of thing. Maybe I'll pick up the other book this week. After all, I need something to read @ work when I have a minute or two free (literally).
Was reading the newspaper earlier and I toyed with the idea of mentioning a headline or two but I reconsidered because who wants to read bad news.
Not me.
