it's a tuesday evening and here i am again suffering through another oak season. it sucks. big time. hopefully it'll be over soon. had to buy a humidifier and have it on full blast next to me, hopefully that will help, but i keep coughing.
easter is just around the corner but around here, like every other holiday, is just another day. we don't even get a day off from work, so it sucks.
our wedding anniversary is next week (wednesday) and i requested thursday and friday off. just because i can. not that there's a lot of work anyways.
took the dogs to the vet last weekend for their check ups and they are now current on their vacccinations. we switched locations to the de zavala banfield and switched tracy from oak hills vet to banfield, so we'll have both of them in the same place.
this weekend is the release of the updated clash of the titans movie...in 3d, that'll be awesome. haven't seen a 3-d movie and this seem good.
considered going to the valley this weekend, but it just seems too much of an effort, not that they'll appreciate it.

Spring is here....NOT!!
Sunday, the day after the first supposed day of Spring and it's been a chilly one. Yesterday and today, in the mornings, it was in the 30's. BRRR!!
To top it off, it's the peak of the oak season here in san antonio and the winds have been fierce, blowing crap all over the place. Friday night we went out for chinese and halfway through my meal i began having trouble breathing, wheezing and short of breath. Had to really focus to control my breathing and not start freaking out and have a panic attack and make it worse. had a rough night that night and last night was still a little iffy. Today was better, took some claritin but still sneezing a little bit. i have an inhaler but i'm stubborn, don't want to use it. paranoid of making things worse, i guess. back some masks to wear when i go outside to protect myself from the pollen and wore one yesterday when we were out and about and i think it worked. i was a little wheezy last night, but nothing compared to friday night.
didn't go anywhere today, trying to recuperate since the work week is right around the corner again. don't want to get sick and God forbid i have to miss work. ha ha ha......
been doing some spring cleaning around the house, laundry and stuff. trying to put a dent in the stephen king book i'm ready, that beheamouth of a book, over a thousand pages. have to admit that i peeked at the next few pages. i alternate between the book and facebook, i like playing the games. Right now, watching Phonebooth.
Just barely refilled the dog's heartworm meds yesterday. found a banfield closer to the house and switched maggie there and put in tracy too. we have them scheduled for exams next weekend, drop offs. maggie is due for the bordatella, which she has had a reaction to so she needs to be kept all day for observation and tracy, well, we might as well have them babysit all day too.
hey, tricia's getting married on april 2 and her baby shower is two weeks after that. that is so funny. can't make it, though. still trying to figure out if i'm going to the reunion in august.

Beautiful Saturday afternoon
Too bad we're not off for Spring Break but at least I got a three day weekend. Wasn't feeling well so i called in sick. i needed a mental day.
spent the morning doing some shopping, grocery shopping and doing some chores around the house. it is a beautiful day outside, spring shouldn't be too far away. This weekend is the beginning of Daylight Savings Time again. bad because we lose an hour of sleep but good because the days are longer and we get to enjoy more daylight in the evenings after work.
Tonight is the Luminaria downtown, we're thinking of going to take a look see, it should be nice cuz it's at night, and there's lights everywhere, and artwork and some live performances. charging up the battery on my camera so i can take some pictures and post them later on.
next month is easter already, even if we really don't celebrate holidays much around here, just another day too. but there's lots of birthdays in the family in april, not that it matters much either. :) if we were in brownsville we'd be having lots of dinners to celebrate and stuff, but we're not. i don't even have to send out cards or gifts because everyone's already grown and on their own. (nephews and nieces). maybe i'll give them a call. maybe.
was supposed to get the refill on the girl's heartworm meds but we've been too busy. maybe tomorrow. they're up to date, this refill would be for this month and it's only the 13th. i just hope i don't wait til the last minute.

Hump Day
Wednesday night and all is well. Had an awesome workout tonight-did a mile and a half on the treadmill and snacked on a pb sandwich w/soy milk. now just chilling out after my shower and getting ready to wind down the day. it was a very stressful day at work. i won't give out any details.
tried watching Human Target--it was a new episode but halfway through i lost interest. it was one of those episodes dealing w/terrorists and/or drug dealers. YAWN...boring. lost interest and set up the dvr to record criminal minds so that i could go workout and later watch it. it was well worth it.
First BONER now LUCAS passes away. word is that Corey Haim died today of a drug overdose. Gees, they're dropping like flies. oh, well, that's life, you're here one moment and the next: bam, you're gone. lately i've been wondering how in this day and age of the world wide web one can feel alone. Yeah, i've been having one of those days.
this weekend is time for another time change: spring forward. damn, we're gonna lose an hour of sleep...but....at least the days will be longer and i'll be able to enjoy a little more daylight w/the girls after work, maybe go walking or something to give them some exercise.

Dreary weather
Sunday evening and it's chilly and misty outside. It's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow but then, in true Texas weather tradition, it'll be sunny and in the eighties during the week. Winter clothes, spring clothes, back and forth we go. Now to top it off, the oak season has already begun, so it hope it's not too bad this year. have plenty of allergy meds to go around.
The Oscars are tonight. curious about the best picture and best director awards but i doubt i'll sit through the whole thing just to see who wins. wonder if Mo'nique and sandra bullock will win? it'll probably on the news in the morning.

Saturday afternoon
Watching "War Games" on tv after having lunch. Soup, anyone? Spent the morning doing some early spring cleaning and it was about time. It's amazing how much gunk accumulates over time.
At least the week from hell is over at work. So much to do, so little time. I just have to laugh when i realize that the little man knows more than the chief. enough said.
it's a pretty good day outside, weather wise, maybe tomorrow we'll venture out again. Oh, i finally mailed out my assignment, after a few months of it being late. i got an email from student services confirming my personal info, name, address, for when i get my "diploma". that's a good one. I'll just put it in the "useless pieces of shit" pile in my office. He He He.
Family wise, it's been quite. haven't heard from mary or susan since Christmas. yay!! i call mom every now and then to check up on them and grandma since tony a keeps saying that she's living her last days, but mom says she's okay. so....
