Valentine's Day weekend

my how time flies, it's already valentine's day. around here it's just another day, we just acknowledge each other but we don't make a big old deal about it because we treat each other good the rest of the year, not just one day a year.

went to see The Wolfman yesterday and it was pretty good. a little gruesome, but that's okay, it wasn't too gory. it was two hours long but it didn't drag on like some do.

last weekend we went to corpus christi for the day on Friday. it was a nice day, so we figured why not take advantage. we had the week off from work so we just took off with the dogs for a nice relaxing day.

the weather has been crazy, though. this weekend it was nice and sunny, we even gave the dogs a bath and everything but a couple of hours ago the wind started picking up and the temp went from 70 to 48 right now. it's been a really cold winter, maybe it'll warm up soon, this valley girl wasn't made for such temps. plus, to top it off, the oak season is almost here and i am dreading it soo much because it gets really bad for me. wish me luck this year.

tried to get tickets to the Michael Buble concert in july but i had lousy luck. they barely went on sale friday and i logged on friday night and the only ones available are in the balcony section. that sucks, man, i really wanted to go but the balcony, no way.

next weekend is the asian festival at the institute for texan cultures downtown and i really want to go this year, just to get away for a little bit, but the weather might be rainy. still, it's a week away and the weather forecast is notoriously unpredictable from a week away.

it's almost gonna be a year since i went vegetarian and i am feeling good. not only do i feel good inside w/out all those meat products weighing me down but i'm also loosing weight. that's not why i do it, but it's a good side effect.

this august is the 20th high school reunion for lf and pace and if they allow me, i want to go to the pace one even though i did not graduate from there but i've known some of them since elementary school. we'll have to see what happens.
