The Black Echo

Finally finished reading Michael Connelly's The Black Echo. I thought it was pretty good. It began with a murder that was witnessed by some street punk and I thought it was going to be full on action but somewhere along the middle it slowed down. So much that for a couple of weeks it was just sitting there staring at me in the face challenging me to pick it up and finish it already. So I did. Nothing changed. I hate to admit this but I skipped a few pages until I saw the action picked up again. Oh, well, what i did not expect was for the leading lady, one of the FBI agents investigating the murder, to be involved. Though she did not actually kill anyone, she was guilty of helping them plan it to avenge the death of her brother whom she thought had been killed in Vietman but it turned out that he was killed right before he came home, already in LA. It was made to look like an overdose to cover up his involvement in some high-stakes robbery deals. Oh,well, as long as know how it ended, i don't really need to know the details. But, as some people say, the devil is in the details...except maybe in this case. Would i read it again? probably not, but i 'bought' it because it was only 99 cents to download. It's an e-book.
