Nice relaxing weekend

It's the weekend again, i know it's been awhile since any updates but it's been really busy. If i'm not at work, then i'm doing some other online stuff, like facebook, volentia and twitter. have really gotten into this stuff so i forget that i also have a blog, which i can use to go into detail a little more.

yesterday i had the bday celebration at work. it was pretty cool cuz they decorated my desk and got me a card, gift card, and a cake. it had a picture of an alien but since it was a purple one, richard said it looked like barney and it stuck. i got a 25 dollar gift card for macy's which i will probably use during the week. i have this whole coming week off from work, like i always request after my bday. when i left friday it looked like the work was piling up but oh well, it's not my problem this week.

my bday is tomorrow so we'll have to see what i want to do to celebrate it here at home.

mom and dad came over last weekend and it was chaotic to say the least. i take for granted the quiet solitude we have w/out the family being in the same city. we had to go pick them up because they got lost on the way into the city. i left work early friday to spend time with them so we took them downtown so they could see where the benny hinn thing was going to be held at the henry v gonzalez convention center. on saturday we dropped them off early and they were gone all day into the evening. the next day, sunday, they left early after morning coffee.

it's still cold out here, this morning it was 30 degrees and i bet it'll be cold tomorrow too. haven't heard from mary or susy since christmas. got a bday card from susy yesterday but that's about it. hey, last time i checked, the phone works both ways. every time i try to call them they're too busy, so....they know where to find me if they want to talk to me.

spent the last couple of hours going thru my dvr recordings. i have about 18 more episodes to go, i was watching Castle episodes.

All hail the new year

Well, what can I say? Been too busy with everything else to do any updates here, yet i'm still running behind on other things.

For one, the extended deadline on my last assignment came and went and i have still to send it out. i have it done, but i've lost all confidence in my writing that i just don't want to send it in. i just can't stand another bad review. i know i have to send it in because it's my second to last assignment and i don't want all that work to go to waste. maybe i'll print it tomorrow and send it in on monday. maybe.

new year's day came and went without a hitch. same old, same old. looks like it's gonna be another year of same old, same old. still stuck with the same job. i know, at least i have a job. PPFFTT!!

things back in the valley are the same. went over there the weekend after christmas and it was boring. wow, that's a shocker. the only reason i go is so joel can go see his mom. there's nothing over there for me now. no one seems to have the time for me anymore, so screw them.

did some shopping today, bought me some house plants to give the place a little lift. maybe the extra oxygen indoors will help my breathing. took tracy to get her heartworm test done. they drew blood and will let me know on monday what the results are. meant to go get the tickets to south pacific today for just got wrapped up in other things.

next holiday: valentines. too bad we don't celebrate it. we have our special day, our anniversary.

how about this crazy weather? first we had record lows (17) last week and now yesterday we had record rainfall.. it's gonna be a crazy year.

2010....bring it on.
