Back to work

Well, I just finished the last day of a glorious 5, count them, 5 day weekend.

Yesterday was my 40th birthday and it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. We spent Monday in Corpus Christi and just basically toured the beach with the dogs, they had so much fun, we just took them off the leash and let them run around. We didn't go into the water because, well, it was just too cold, but it was fun. I had pictures to post but stupid camera acted up on me and now they're gone. Pissed me off! We made it home by yesterday noon and I had today off. Went to lunch with the girls at mama margie's.

Last night was the opening night of CATS at the Majestic. I'd seen it before and i was hesitant about going again but I'm glad i changed my mind. It was better that i remember. I just finished the review earlier.

Fridays are the best

Ah, yes, it's Friday in mid January, winter, right? Not right now. It might be a bit soupy outside right now, but we're expecting temps in the mid 70s today. Why the weather report? Well, this weekend is the Paws in the Garden event at the garden and the weather's gonna be perfect. The doggies need a nice day out, poor things, always cooped up. Stayed home today from work because last night i gave them their monthly meds and Tracy was throwing up all over the house last night. Had to make sure she was okay and clean up all the messes. she hasn't thrown up anymore this morning, and i just gave her a couple of bisquits since she really didn't eat much this morning. i think she's okay now.

I was really disappointed when the Nickelback tour 2012 list came out and SA is not on their list. Bummer! Their concerts are really good, i enjoyed it last time i saw them, the closest city is Houston. Technically we can go, it's close by and it's on a Saturday, we can always make it a weekend out, but, i don't know, seems like a lot of trouble to go through, it's not like it's Juanes our anything.

This month is my 40th birthday and i'm feeling a bit panicky. on the one had, it's liberating and on the other, it's kinda scary. I know, we're all getting older, but this is ME we're talking about.

Planning on seeing a movie this weekend, Haywire, looks like a good action movie. Last weekend we say Contraband with Mark Wahlberg. It's a pretty good action movie, a lot of violence and cussing, but that's okay. Has a few heart-stopping scenes, too....
